Reversi is a board game born in England in 1883. In Japan, it's also beloved as 'Othello', and it's a strategic game loved worldwide.

It's said to be so deep that 'you can learn it in a minute, but it takes a lifetime to master'.

Detailed Rules
1. Game Preparation

The 8ร—8 board has 2 white and 2 black stones placed in the center. You can choose to go first (black stones) or second (white stones) in game settings.

2. Difficulty Selection

Choose from 4 levels: Easy, Normal, Hard, Expert. Expert mode has AI that thinks strategically and is very strong.

3. How to Place Stones

Place stones to trap opponent's stones with your own. All trapped opponent stones flip to your color.

4. Finding Valid Moves

Valid positions are shown faintly. Any position where you can trap opponent stones vertically, horizontally, or diagonally is valid.

5. About Passing

If no valid moves are available, you automatically pass. The game ends when both players pass.

6. Victory Condition

When the board is full or both players pass, the player with more stones wins. Equal numbers result in a tie.

Strategy Tips
  • Capturing corners is strong (they can't be flipped)
  • Keep few stones early, then increase rapidly in endgame
  • Avoid moves that give corners to your opponent
  • Edge stones are relatively safe
